I LOVE this week's little extra, so much so that I've made two cards for it. Thank you Jo for the inspiration and the tips. Here's the challenge.....
This week, I would love your little extra card to be a little doodled border on your card, be it dots, stripes or little faux stitches.' I made a discovery this week, the
Pink Petticoat site, it's amazing! I got this image along with 17 others downloaded to me for £6.99! I'd never thought of doing this before but when you think of it, it's like getting 18 stamps and when you're printing from your computer the bonus is that you can resize the image. This is Lola, isn't she sweet? I cut out some of the backing paper to use for the trousers, I really like the effect.
I used glossy accents to highlight parts of the image, I'm really hooked on
Glossy Accents right now.
And here's Lilli, again I've matched the clothes with the backing paper. Jo gave a great doodling tip that I'd never tried before, for the false stitching you prick lots of holes around your paper and join them up with a fine pen, I'm really pleased with the result it looks like real stitching! It's a bit wonky but then so is my real stitching! lol
I used three layers of glossy accents for the vase and it worked brilliantly, trouble is, you can't see it very well in the photo.
