Circular Easel Cards

Well folks, if you know me you will know that I like to experiment to push ideas a bit further when I find something that I like and I LOVE Easel cards -Karen got me hooked (thanks chuck).

I got myself some round scalloped nestabilities from Charmed Cards and Crafts the other day and you know what, they are perfect for making round easel cards. Take a look at what I came up with..

I did some very fiddly paper piecing here but I think it was worth it because it brings it all together.

Slightly fuzzy side view next:/
Here's another...

Do you like them? They're quite easy to make and to prove it I'm going to do you a video tutorial....just as soon as I buy the camera lol.

Papers used for these two cards;
Basic Grey 6x6 pads -'Max and Whiskers' and 'Marjolaine'

Digital images and papers are all from Charmed Cards and Crafts

Well I've decided to try selling some of my cards on ebay, so I'm off to list these now. If you are interested, here is the link

I'm back!

Helloooooooooooo is there anybody here? I bet all my blog fiends have forgotten this Blog...can you believe I haven't posted since September? Well I have moved house in that time so I guess that's a bit of a reason :)
Well I'm back now and soon you'll be sick of me.
Here's a card I made for Dottie'S World ....
I don't have a Valentine's card to show you because I haven't made one (shock horror) my partner and I agreed not to DO Valentines day....I'm just praying he isn't planning on surprising me (eek).

Anyway what I have been making is a thank you card for a very special little girl, I hope she likes it.

Samirah loves the Pixie Chicks so I made her a nice tall easel card with one. I wanted to start experimenting a bit more with easel cards, I really like them and I think their boundries are waiting to be pushed...get ready for the circular easel card....and a video! Yikes I can't believe I just said that!
I'll be back!

DW - Christmas

Phew Blogger is really playing up tonight! Is anybody else having problems? I lost my post the first time and my last two challenge posts which I sceduled to appear when I was on holiday didn't work :(.
Speaking of my holiday.....I've been in Turkey for two weeks! WOO HOO! It was bloody amazing and I didnt want to come home. All I did most of the time was relax in the sun....after the stress of my marriage break up I really needed it I can tell you! However....I did do a bit of partying .....

I was behind the bar there helping them to mix the cocktails :)

Anyway.....on to the Dottie's World Challenge, our gorgeous Karen has set us a beauty this week, she wants us to get started on our Christmas cards.........yes I did say CHRISTMAS! The only specifications are that we try to go wit um-traditional colours AND use a Charmed download. Here's what I came up with....

I think these colours are a bit different from the 'norm' for Christmas but I think it works, don't you?
This is 'Dreamer' she's a Pixie Chick and you can download her from Charmed Cards and Crafts.

Fancy playing along? Please do, we need more people coming to play, pop over to Dottie's World.

Have a good week xxxxx

Favourites!

Wow, our wonderful Gunn has set us the fabbiest challenge this week at Dottie's World - she wants us to choose our favourite ever Charmed download! How fun is that! Using your fave image!
This week I want you to take your favourite Charmed One- a new or old and just make a card or project with it. You can do whatever you want, just have fun. But your favourite has to be a CHARMED DOWNLOAD.

So let me see lots of favourites this week, and have fun.
*Gunn*
Well actually, it may be fun, but....for me....kind of impossibe. I drew most of the Charmed digital images and so each and every one holds a special place in my heart - I just can't pick a favourite. So, I decided to choose one of the images I have used the most which must make it somewhere at the top of the list. Here we have 'Holly', named after my lovely daughter ( Mikey is named after my son)

I did some paper piecing to bring the image and the backing paper together. I hope you like it!
Pop on over to Dottie's World to join in the fun or pop on over to the shop to view more of the wonderful Charmed Downloads xx

Dottie's World - Frame it!

Ooooh I had such fun with this one! It's Karen's challenge this week at Dottie's World, here's what she said;

This week we would like you to frame something on your card. It could be framing an element, an image or indeed the card itself. Along with the frame I would like to see a few dots, how you present them is up to you. Please don't forget the most important part - a Charmed Download, which must feature somewhere on your card :-)

I had a commission to do this week so I combined it with the challenge. I was asked to make a wedding card and for me there was no question which image I should use!....

I used the bride from the Once Upon a Time digital download collection from Charmed Cards and Crafts. I dug out some sequins and glitter to frame her with and I'm really chuffed with the finished result.

I used a sentiment from the Once Upon a Time set inside the card.

The card is quite fragile so I made a box for it.

I decorated it with oodles of flowers.

I hope I have inspired you to play along with this week's challenge at Dottie's World - Don't miss it cos there's a fab prize too!

Manly -With a Twist

Ohhh our favourite! Crafting for a man! Ok so it's nobodies favourite but these things HAVE to be done so this week at Dottie's World Adele is getting us into action on those masculine projects.

As it happens this challenge came just at the right time for me. I recently moved house and I've been very busy making it livable. I'm proud to say that I've done most things by myself but sometimes men really do come in handy. My dear dear friend has done so much for me around the house, he is my hero and he knows it! He keeps asking when he is going to get his certificate so I thought it was time to make one......no...he deserves two!

The colouring could be better but these certificates are actually quite mini so colouring wasn't an easy task with my copics. It's the first time I've made a black George but I think it suits him!

The images (need I tell!) are from Charmed Cards and Crafts and the challenge is at Dottie's World, please drop by xx
