Award Catch Up

Good evening all, I'm trying to tie up somme loose ends so I'm starting with some awards I was lucky enough to receive but naughty enough to neglect. If I've missed you out please don't be offended it wasn't intentional.

I received this BLOGGING FRIENDS FOREVER one from Juliet (thank you chuck xx);
1. Only 5 people allowed.
2. 4 have to be dedicated followers of your blog
3. one has to be someone new or recently new to your blog and live in another part of the world.
4. you must link back to whoever gave you the award.
Quite simple really it is a way of saying thankyou to those who take time out for wonderful comments to boost your day.

Then I got this one from two Debs (confusing I know!) Deb M and Debs G Thank you so much ladies mmmmmwahhh!
You just have to answer the questions then pass the tag on to some blogging buddies.

10 Years ago: Well, I was a stay at home mum, and Holly was only 3! By heck those were the days.
5 things to do today: Well, I'm about to go to bed so I'll make a list for tomorrow; clear another part of the garden, make more designs for the new collection, make a card, clean up and change the bedding.
Snacks I enjoy: Chocolate Brownies! Yum
Places I have lived: I've always lved in Hull (boring I know!)
What I would do if I was a millionaire: Buy a beautiful house and leave work.
Finally (I think) I got this groovy one from th lovely Vicky (Angeldrummer) thank you sweetheart xxxx.
It's the Wylde Women Award and the rules are:
1. You can give it to one or one hundred or any number in between - it's up to you. Make sure you link to their site in your post.
2. Link back to this blogsite ( so Tammy can go visit all these wonderful women.and remember the Purpose of the Award: To send love and acknowledgment to women who brighten your day, teach you new things and live their lives fully with generosity and joy.
So now I'm going to choose 5 people to give an award to, If I pick you just choose which ever one you like.

DCM-Golden Oldies

Well, as promsed I'm trying to be a better Blogger so I'm here again, this time with the DCM dare;NOW ! - on to this weeks dare - we have a team dare this week, and we were thinking.....with so many new things /latest papers/ trendy stuff constantly coming on the market, we thought it would be nice to have a look back, and dig out some of our 'old' papers and embellishments and make a card with our 'preloved' treasures. I think the tendency these days is to get on the 'latest must have' band wagon, sometimes, its nice to recognise what we already have- even if it isn't the 'latest' embellishment/paper.

For my card I've use one of my old BG papers that I haven't used in AAAAAGES! The real antique in this card is the ribbon which I worked out to be 25 years old! I've added some Prima Quick Picks which have been neglected for some time too.

The image is Angel Dottie from the Christmas download collection.

It isn't one of my best cards because I was rushing - I want to get out into the sunshine!

Cute Card Thursday -Things That Grow

Good afternoon everyone, I'm hoping to get back to being a good blogger now that I have six weeks off work and I'm making a start with this one for Cute Card Thursday- Things that Grow; The obvious things would be plants etc but really there are lots more things that grow, we look forward to seeing your own interpretations!By heck! This one sure took some doing! I think I may have been a little over ambitious but I'm pleased with the result. I went for trees as my things that grow.
The apple and the trees were cut on my Quickutz Silhouette, there's also machine stitching and some dry embossing (cuttlebug folder). The apples in the barrow are little red gems.
The image is from the George at Work download collection (click the Download Dottie blinkie on the side bar to see more)
Look out for the new collection on it's way soon -LOVE AND MARRIAGE.

Crafts Beautiful cards

Hi folks,

I don't know if you have already seen these cards in the August edition of Crafts Beautiful but I wanted to show you my pics because the skin looked all funny in the magazine pictures. It's not their fault though, it's my colouring I think, I did them before I got my Prismas and boy can I tell the difference!

Full instructions and free images in Crafs Beautiful - on the shelves now.

It seems like ages since I drew these images! It was well before George came on the scene and dottie has evolved somewhat since then too.

I'm counting off the days now, two more to go before I have 6 weeks off work! YAYYYYY!!!!!

Thanks for dropping by,enjoy your weekend.xx

Thank you all

Hi Folks,
I'm sorry I haven't been around for a while. First of all I want to say thank you to everybody who has tagged me recently and at the same time I want to apologise for not playing along. I'm not very good with tags and awards, I tend to put them onto a back burner to deal with all at one time and then I go and forget who it was that gave them all to me! I know, I seem so ungrateful but please accept my apologies/thanks.

Anyhow onto the good news! To celebrate the fact that I will soon have a whole six weeks off work, I have put a free image (for you all to save) onto Dottie's World so if you would like it pop on over.

Vegas George

Well, thank-you-very-much!!!!Uh hu hu!
I'm so touched by the amout of positive feedback I've had about the new collection, you've all made me so happy.
This may seem like Deja vous if you've already been to Dottie's world because I've done the same post twice. Why? 1. Because I'm lazy! 2. Because I didn't want anyone to miss Vegas George! I think he's my favourite George so far.

This card took ages to make because it kept going wrong, it nearly went in the bin at one stage but I'm glad I didn't give up because I think it turned out ok.
I used glossy accents on the guitar and his glasses but you can't see it very well in the photo. The papers are Basic Grey and the image is Vegas George from the Rock Til You Drop Download collection. Just click the 'Download Dottie' blinkie in the side bar for a closer look at the collection, which, by the way can now be bought from anywhere in the whole wide World!!!!!!
