Caardvarks - Sticker Shock

I'm really enjoying these Caardvark challenges, and this one has been my favourite so far because it got me using my stickers, also you might have noticed that there is no Basic Grey in sight! yes I know, shocking isn't it. Here's what they had to say at Caardvarks.....Welcome to Sticker Shock! I think you know what's coming...yep, use *stickers* on your card front! We want to see them every which way - get creative with stickers!

First I had to select my stickers, I chose K and Company- Brenda Walton stickers to start with, then realised I had the exact same paper to match, how weird is that? I didn't know I had matching stickers and paper, I certainly didn't buy them together! Then as if by magic I found my K and Company brookfield stickers to go (which also went pefectly!) Isn't it amazing how much stash we have without even realising we have it!
Anyway, the card. I was inspired to use the tabs on the side by the tab stickers in the Brookfield pack, so that was the three page design sorted out.
On the front I used K and Company butterflies and a flower which I stuck onto scrap paper first, cut out and partially stuck into position, curling up the leaves and petals for a 3D effect. The 'My sweet Grandma' is a Brookfield sticker too.
On the second page I used the 'you are my sunshine' Brookfield sticker mounted onto some K and Company paper which I disstressed with Tim Holtz- Brushed Corduroy.
The third page - the one i'll write on, is another K and Company paper and yes you guessed it, another Brookfield sticker.
I'm really happy with the results of this card because although I went sticker mad, I don't think it screams stickers.

It all co-ordinates beautifully - a great card for a special Grandma.
Know what you mean about stickers but it still looks tasteful.

i absolutely ADORE this!!! (even if it is basic-grey-less!)

had to laugh at the way you "discovered" matching things in your stash of which you were unaware--i'm SO GLAD to hear it's not just *me* who's done that! :)
