Bottle Chopping 2
For this one I stuck a Peacock feather onto wet, clear glass paint. Then I covered the feather with lots more layers of clear glass paint. Finally I painted the vase with lots of swirls in peacock colours. Time consuming but well worth it.

Bottle Chopping
This is an addictive craft and kind to the environmet too as you can recycle all your own wine/beer bottles. I use the kind of bottle cutter that spins around the bottle whilst balancing on the rim but there are other options available. It's great fun making vases with your chopped bottles, here are a couple of mine. I used metal die cut shapes painted with glass paint for this one. The only down side is that they can only be sponge cleaned on the outside.
It would be great to see this art grow in popularity.

Starting Stamping
I bought loads of stamps years ago, just because they looked so nice, I never really got around to using them so I decided (as i've got half term off, yipee!!!) to start to use them. Here's one I made yesterday. I'm quite pleased with the results. I used 'Glam' paper from the Crate Avenue collection for this one.
I stamped the image with black pigment ink onto creamy/white paper.
Then I painted it with water colours, I like the way the ink runs into the paint, giving it a pen and wash effect.
I used my embossing pen to colour in the parts I wanted to be silver then heat embossed it using silver embossing powder.
